Question: I love going to the spa and getting pampered and getting treatments, especially body scrubs. Do you have any simple recipes for making body scrubs with easy to find ingredients that I can make at home?
Valentina: Here is a recipe you can easily make at home.
Revitalizing Sea Salt and Rosemary Oil Body Scrub
Ideal for dry and flaky skin, this scrub is both easy and fun to apply, especially if you do it with a partner and focus on each other’s back. Sea salt exfoliates the skin’s surface and rids it of dead cells, the tonic and invigorating effects of rosemary will increase blood flow. Rosemary revives, clears the mind and is commonly used in inhalations for nasal congestions.
Recipe:
½ cup coarse sea salt
¼ cup rosemary oil
body-scrub tool (such as a loofah)
Dip the body- scrub tool in a bit of oil, the dip in the coarse salt. Rub over the skin in a circular motion, paying attention to rough spots like the knees, elbows and feels. Rinse off with warm water, pat dry and moisturize.
